We are a South Seattle-based boutique clinic providing Traditional Chinese Medicine and modern, palpation-based, acupuncture techniques. We aim to provide a space where you feel heard, can relax, and your goals for healing are integrated into all treatment plans. We are the experts in our medicine and techniques, but you are the expert on your body.

We believe in integrative and comprehensive healthcare and welcome the opportunity to work with other practitioners in your healthcare team. Our priority is to help you feel better and we will bring in all the tools we have to do just that.

Acupuncture.

At Copal you can expect effective, yet gentle, acupuncture treatments tailored to your specific needs. We use palpation-based styles of acupuncture to identify where in your body to focus our treatment in order to bring about lasting change. Sessions might also include the use of gua sha, cupping, e-stim, trigger point/dry needling therapy, or bodywork when appropriate.

Herbal Medicine.

Chinese herbal medicine is a powerful tool for healing. We formulate each prescription specific to your health concern and body constitution. Each herb in your formula will be considered from the perspective of your body and modified accordingly. Herbal consultations are included in acupuncture sessions or can be scheduled separately.

Bodywork & Movement.

We incorporate bodywork, movement, and breath work frequently in our treatment sessions. Our training includes Tuina (Chinese medical massage), Shiatsu (Japanese massage based on the meridians of the body), Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and rehabilitation exercises to move you out of pain, injury, and emotional stasis.

My experience with chronic pain has made me deeply empathetic to those struggling through day-to-day activities, while living with pain. My own journey through pain has led me to this medicine, which has been the greatest gift of my life.
